Description
A marine and offshore safety course, which adheres to ISO 19906:2019 standards, is a specialized training program that teaches participants about the many risks and hazards present in these environments as well as how to detect, manage, and reduce these risks to ensure the crew’s safety and the protection of the environment. The course’s hands-on training component teaches participants how to use safety regulations and procedures in maritime and offshore settings. They also learn how to do risk analysis and implement control measures in order to lessen the hazards in these situations. The processes for handling spills, fires, and other potential emergencies that can occur aboard ships or offshore constructions are made clear to participants.

The Level 2 – Award in Basic Marine and Offshore Safety is a comprehensive course designed to provide participants with fundamental knowledge and skills related to safety practices in the marine and offshore industries. This course focuses on the specific hazards, risks, and safety procedures associated with working in maritime and offshore environments.
Assessment:
This qualification is evaluated using assessments and Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ). To receive this qualification, the learner must pass both tests with a certain percentage.
Duration:
The qualification has recommended course duration of 3 days.
